This was just one view of the mountain on the way up the island... gorgeous no? There was just snow EVERYWHERE! I felt more than just a little privileged to be able to capture it actually.

If my memory serves me correctly, I think this was taken from St Heliers bay on the Sunday Shannon and I went for a drive. I just couldn't go home without a shot of Rangitoto Island from the bays somewhere!

And last, but by no means least, this was the view from the hill of St Heliers - Rangitoto Island was just off to the right, central city to the left. I had to take a chance on this one really, as I couldn't actually look to take the shot it was so bright.

God is amazing really though isn't He?! The way He reveals Himself through creation somedays just takes my breath away... completely!

Just another place I enjoy... near water is always good for me!

I took Hudson here the other day (the pier at Petone) and now all he wants is a fishing rod for his 4th birthday - as neither Jenny or Marcus are fishermen (not the blood and guts sort anyway!) I figured, just for a laugh of course (!!), I think I'll encourage him on this one!

New Brighton

I know I've got sooo many shots of the pier at New Brighton but I was back down there just before I left Christchurch and as it was just coming up on dusk I looked up from the cafe I was sitting in and just decided to seize the moment. I ran to the car, grabbed my camera and this was the result.

Other than changing it to sepia, I haven't actually tweaked this one at all. It's totally original, right down to the sea spray of the lense. Now I just need somewhere to put it to use!

Wo! My first ballet class ever was in Dunedin while visiting Mat & Jules... all I can say is, I think I'll leave it to Gabbie!

Mounted on a canvas block, this is fast becoming a favourite as well. By the by, did you know that ballerinas have a particular way they sit down? Graceful is an understatement - I loved it!!

I didn't want to burst her bubble...! When someone is determined to fly, who are we to stand in their way!!

Personally, I think my sister leaves Zoro for dead when it comes to posing!... and this is only one of the stockpile of moves too! We had a blast down on the pier at New Brighton in Christchurch. She was such light relief and just the right time... thanks LJ!

Vicks & I

I'm reminiscing... I decided I'd start from the beginning of the year and build the photos up from there and considering its winter and I'm stuck infront of my heater doing my best to keep warm, I thought this glimpse back to summer was a nice treat!

Vicki and I have been friends since we were 9... we go back a long way! That's a good stack of memories as well - here's to many more Vicks!
